A Fire Safety Awareness Session and Live Demonstration was organized at Govt. ITI Baroh on 03 September 2026 in collaboration with the Fire Station, Nagrota Bagwan.

The session aimed to create awareness among students and staff about fire prevention, safety measures and emergency response procedures. Fire personnel explained the common causes of fire and the precautions that should be taken to minimize the risk of fire incidents in educational institutions, workplaces and residential areas.

During the programme, the Fire Station team conducted a practical demonstration of fire-fighting techniques, including the correct method of handling fire extinguishers and responding safely during a fire emergency. Participants were also briefed on the importance of remaining calm, raising an alarm, evacuating safely and contacting the fire and emergency services when required.

The interactive demonstration provided students with valuable practical knowledge and encouraged them to follow appropriate fire safety protocols. The programme concluded with a message emphasizing that awareness, preparedness and timely action are essential for protecting lives and property during fire emergencies.
